The request is based on two 25-microgram doses of the vaccine, dubbed mRNA-1273, compared with two 100-microgram primary doses and a 50-microgram booster for adults, the release said.

Enrique Ginzburg, a professor of surgery at the Miller School of Medicine and trauma medical director and chief of surgery at Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson South Medical Center, volunteered at a hospital in Lviv, consulting with Ukrainian physicians on the care of civilians injured in the war. The patients arrived at the largest emergency hospital in Lviv by the dozens, transported hundreds of miles via ambulance and other vehicles from the eastern region of war-torn Ukraine. Seventy casualties arrived on one day, 30 on another, nearly 100 on yet another occasion.

North Carolina Rep. Madison Cawthorn was cited by the Charlotte Mecklenberg police on Tuesday afternoon after TSA security agents found a gun in his carry-on bag as it was going through security. As the Washington Post eagerly reminds us, it's the second time the congressman's been cited in the past few years. Cawthorn was cited for possession of a dangerous weapon on city property, then released, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Authorities took possession of the loaded gun, which police said is standard procedure.

IDAHO FALLS – The trial for a former Idaho Falls teacher accused of assaulting a student more than a year ago has been rescheduled. Former Eagle Rock Middle School teacher Jared Emfield, 46, is facing several misdemeanor charges for allegedly slamming a student against a wall and threatening him while pinning him to the ground. He was originally charged with one count of misdemeanor battery and pleaded not guilty last April. Additional misdemeanor charges were filed against Emfield in January, including one more count of battery, two counts of assault, a charge of false imprisonment and disturbing the peace.
